It’s Monday! Mixed feelings right now. Not ready to get back into things after a nice weekend but it’s the first week of April! I’m excited to see more things blooming and I know this month is really going to fly by.
Anyway, yesterday I went to the Tulip Festival in Woodburn with my mom and Timber! This makes it the 3rd year in a row that we’ve gone. The first year we lived here, we didn’t even know about the Tulip Festival, but I would have loved to have taken Timber when she was just a little baby. Last year it was surprisingly blazing hot! So we got really lucky today that it was only around 60, which was perfect.
I can’t tell you all how beautiful the festival is. Each year we take better and better pictures, but they still don’t do it justice. Since we’ve had so much rain lately, it opened a week later than usual and the tulips weren’t quite at full bloom, but it was still gorgeous.
Every year we take Timber with us and today she was such a spazz! She’s only 3 and still a baby, so I don’t blame her with all of that stimulation. But I am exhausted after handling her haha! You wouldn’t know by these pictures how much we struggled to get her to sit still for a picture! She’s so photogenic though. Also, don’t tell, but each year she ends up eating a tulip! 😉 Timber loves smelling flowers, but always gets excited here and takes a big bite out of one, ha. These are the days that make me love having her around to do these fun things with.
The Tulip Festival really is beautiful though. If you are in the area and have a day with some sunshine, try your best to go! I promise you won’t regret it.
That’s all for today’s post, keeping it short for this Monday! Have a great week!
