Happy Monday! It’s the very end of October which means winter will be here before we know it. I’m trying to plan ahead this year and not let the dark and dreary winter days get the best of me, so I’m bringing you all my favorite ways to keep things light this winter!
Lighten up your look with SunIn: Most of us remember using SunIn at some point or remember our moms using it back in the day, but just because the sun’s going away for a while doesn’t mean you can’t keep things light. I consider myself a true brunette but I like to have some highlights mixed in with my brown and SunIn brings out my natural highlights while conditioning my hair as well! I’m on the dance team at my college and having a great hair style is important (look good feel good), but I also don’t want to break the bank by getting my hair professionally colored or using the chemicals that usually comes with color (SunIn is alcohol free!).
I’ve been using SunIn after I shower, just spritzing a little all over my hair when it’s damp and then blow drying! SunIn works with heat so either the natural sun works or your hair dryer. The common trend in the winter is to go darker with hair color, but it can be nice to keep things light–everything can get so dark with the weather and overall days being a lot shorter.
I’m also all about fabulous smells and I never noticed how great SunIn smells! My favorite is the lemon scented spray.
Plan things with friends: This past weekend was so much fun with all the Halloween festivities! That being said, I always do better when I have some fun things with friends to look forward to, like going to a movie you’ve wanted to see or having a holiday party.
Have your special treat: It really can be the little things that help sometimes like having a chocolate bar or your favorite tea around–special treats can totally work wonders!
Music: We’ve all got our preferred time to start playing holiday music, but I love to have a great winter inspired playlist! Whether I’m hanging out in my room or driving to work, it helps to have some great tunes to boost my mood when it’s dark and gross out.
As always, thank you guys for reading if you’ve made it this far! I always love your support with all the hard work I put into posts. Have a wonderful week and a happy Halloween!!
