It has been so hot lately here in Portland, all I can think about is fall! Fall brings so many fun and exciting things, and is possibly my favorite season. It’s prime football season, there are pumpkin patches, haunted houses, decorating, and so much more. I’m going to jump right into things and start sharing 7 things to get you all excited for fall!
Comfy Sweaters. I don’t know about you guys, but I’m kind of ready for fall attire, specifically the comfy sweaters! I’m definitely not ready for big puffy coats and huge jackets, but I love a good jeans, boots, and cozy sweater look. My striped color block cardigan I’m wearing in this post is a great example, but unfortunately it sold out during the Nordstrom Sale and never came back. SO I found some great alternatives for you to take a peak at!
Candles Galore. This is one of my favorite things about fall. I love lighting candles year-round, but fall candles are simply the best! There’s pumpkin, maple, and all other sorts of scents they come up with that smell amazing.
Fuzzy Socks. After a hot and sweaty summer, fall comes at the perfect time to cozy up and enjoy the cool temps! I love throwing on some fuzzy socks and getting all cozied up. Not quite as cozy and chilly as the winter days, but just perfect to make you okay with saying bye to summer!
Pumpkin Spice Everything. I’m not exactly a pumpkin spice fanatic, but I definitely love my share of pumpkin treats. You all know I love my coffee, but Peets makes the best dark chocolate pumpkin mocha in the fall and you bet I am dreaming about it!
Halloween. Let’s be real, who doesn’t like Halloween? You get loads of candy, everyone gets all excited and you plan out the best costume ever. I always seem to come up with the best costume in mid-March or some random month during the year, and never have a clue what to wear when October rolls around. Regardless, I am excited for all things Halloween, and you should be too!
The Colors Changing. Fall in the PNW is absolutely gorgeous (knock on wood). Last fall it rained non-stop which was kind of a buzz kill. Usually it is so pretty and I love seeing the colors change everywhere, especially on campus.
Thanksgiving. Rounding out the fall season comes Thanksgiving! College students usually get to go back home and see family, their pets, and sleep in their comfy bed. There’s also lots of yummy food and dessert, and the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade! A bonus is knowing you’re going back to just a few short weeks of school!
Are you just as excited for fall as I am now? Bring on the pumpkin spice!! Have a wonderful Wednesday friends and thanks for reading!
